Sex with Kings
One of the things I harp on is the fact that the age of consent in America is forced upon the net as if America was the world.

So i like to point out the fact that historically, our extended Age of Consent is actually an exception to the rule and that is is also the exception in comparison to most other countries.

I just came across another example of historical counterpoints to what we have today.

King Henry the IV of France took as his mistress Charlotte de Montmorency in 1609. He was 54 and she was 14. In order to give a cover of legitimacy to the matter, he ordered her married off to the prince de Conde, "a weak and skinny soul thought to be a homosexual."
